Wayne County, NC - Obituary of Annie G. Gurley ----¤¤¤---- Goldsboro News Argus Dec. 3, 1998 Annie G. Gurley Pikeville-Annie Gela Gurley Gurley, 88, of 1375 Capps Bridge Rd, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pike's Crossroads Church. The Reverends James Herring and Tim Creel will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Gurley was born in Wayne County, was the daughter of the late William Anderson and Lula Radford Gurley, and was married to the late Joseph Edgar Gurley. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Edmond Gurley. She was a homemaker and a member of Belfast Penecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by three sons and daughter-in-laws, Woody and Ruby Gurley of LaGrange, Harold and Dorothy Gurley of Goldsboro, Walter Gurley of Pikeville and Bunnie Whitley of Snow Hill; a daughter and son-in-law, Melva Jean and Clement Thompson of Pikeville; two brothers, Herman Gurley of Princeton and William Anderson Gurley of Kenly; a sister, Pearl Newsome of Selma; and 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro and other times at the home of Melva Jean and Clement Thompson at 1461 Capps Bridge Road, Pikeville. ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
