Dies Monday
       Ed T. Gurley, 75, died at 9:15 Monday morning at his home, Route 2, 
Pikeville, after several years of bad health.
       Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 o'clock from the Whitley 
Pentecostal Holiness Church near Princeton with the Rev. T. M. Bizzell and 
the Rev. Johnnie Wellons conducting. Interment will be in the Creech Cemetery 
near Pine Level.
       Surviving are seven sons, Tommy, Floyd, Percy, Edgar, Clifton and 
Cooper Gurley of Route 2, Pikeville, and Leamon Gurley of Goldsboro; a daughter, 
Mrs. Mirtie Hollowell of Rosewood; a half brother, Josiah Edwards of Route 2, 
Smithfield; 33 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
