Goldsboro Messenger 16 Mar 1885
In Goldsboro the 11th inst. of consumption, Mrs. A. M. Jones, wife of W. R. Jones, 
and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Scarborough of Wilmington, aged 26 years and 8 
months.

A true, devoted wife and loving daughter has won a crown of glory. Weep not dear 
kindred and friends for her; she is not dead but sleeps only. Although you can 
never see her face on earth again, it is a consolation to know that you can all 
meet her in that bright and beautiful world above, where there will be no more 
parting and where no farewell tears are shed. Try and be comforted by her last 
words and meet her over on the other shore where nothing but happiness reigns.
