Died

At his residence, Pleasant Grove, Wayne County, on the 1st instant, Sampson Lane, 
Esq., aged 69 years. He passed his long life in the practice of all the moral 
virtues, and died respected and lamented by all who knew him. He pursued his way 
through the vicissitudes of life with undeviating honor and honesty, and saw his end
approach cheerfully and without fear, taking leave of his friends, when visited in 
the last days of his life, with a pleasant farwell, as if starting on an agreeable 
journey. So to him we trust the voyage of eternity will prove.
