Died

At her residence in Mount Olive, NC, Dec. 21, 1884, Mrs. Almyra Faison Lanier, 
wife of Jesse Lanier, Esq. A model wife, devoted mother, true friend, kind 
neighbor - energetic, earnest in business - bright, cheerful, gay in spirit, 
with a kind word and ready smile for all- so late with us in all the vigor of 
life. It is hard, almost impossible to realize, that she has gone from our 
presence forever. Peaceful be her slumber, till "He cometh to make up His 
jewels" - then may she shine forever, a brilliant gem in His crown.
