James (Jamie) Isaac Martin, age 31, of Grantham, NC, died today as a result of 
an auto accident, near Newton Grove. Born August 5,1974 to Deborah M. Martin 
and the late Walter A. Martin of Grantham, he was one of two boys. He was a 
1993 graduate of Southern Wayne High School in Dudley,NC and was employed by 
Classic Landscape and Design. He was a member of Riverside Free Will Baptist 
Church. He is survived by his wife and two children,by his grandmother and his 
mother,his brother,and several uncles and aunts, many special 
neices,nephews,cousins, friends and pals. The family received friends from 6 PM 
to 8 PM at Howell Funeral Home, and funeral services were held on Wednesday, 
June 28,2006 at 11:00 AM in the chapel, with burial at Wayne Memorial Park. The 
Rev. Dennis Pollock and Rev. James Corbett officiated.  Jamie,like his father, 
always had a smile on his face,and was willing to jump in and help those when 
asked,like his mother. He loved rebuilding and racing four-wheelers, and having 
fun and working hard. He will greatly missed by his family and friends. Jamie, 
take care buddy, we hope to see you again one day!

Additional Comments:
Jamie was a cousin. He came from a good family. Holidays,and special occasions 
will never be the same without him. God has called him home. We were not ready 
for him to go. But, God had a bigger plan for him. He is now safe, in the arms 
of Jesus.
