Obituary

William R. Pearsall, 70, was retired

     A memorial service will be held for William R. Pearsall, 70, of 
Desert Hot Springs, at 2 p.m. Saturday at Palm Springs Baptist Church, 
1696 S. El Cielo Road.
     Mr. Pearsall, who moved to Desert Hot Springs seven years ago from 
Thousand Oaks, died Jan. 8 in Palm Springs.  He was retired from Rocketdyne 
in Canoga Park and NBC Studios in Burbank.
     Survivors include his wife, Jo, two sons, Rick Pearsall of Hollister 
and Jim Pearsall of Thousand Oaks and three granddaughters.
     The family suggests memorial contibutions to the American Lung 
Association, 1729 E. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs 92264.

William Rufus Pearsall, was the son of Hallie Hodges Pearsall and Essie 
Grissela Herring of Wayne Co, NC.  William was born 3 Dec 1918 in Wayne Co, 
NC.  He had a twin sister, Lillian Ruth Pearsall.  Lillian Ruth Pearsall 
married Michael Brody Ely of Coreopolis, McKeesport, PA.

William Rufus Pearsall married Josephine A. Listine from Massachusetts.  
They had two children:  William Richard Pearsall and James Michael Pearsall.  
After the death of William Rufus, Josephine married Donald Bruce Sedgley.  
Josephine died 21 May 2004 in Atascadero, San Luis Obispo County, CA.
