Goldsboro Messenger Monday July 20, 1874
Obituary

Whereas. It has pleased Almighty God, in His Divine Providence, to remove from 
our midst our beloved brother, Ingram Rhodes, who departed this life at 3 
o'clock on the morning of July 19, 1874. Therefore be it.

Resolved. That in the death of Bro. Ingram Rhodes, Mount Olive Lodge, No. 208, 
A. F. and A. M., has lost a worthy member, and the community at large an 
estimable citizen.

Resolved. That we bow with humility and reverence to this edict of Providence, 
and tender our heartfelt sympathies to the family of our beloved deceased 
brother.

Resolved. That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family of Brother 
Rhodes, and that the Lodge wear the usual badge of mourning for thirty days.

Resolved. That a copy of these proceedings be sent to the Goldsboro Messenger 
for publication.
