“Daily Argus” Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina; Aug 2, 1906

   The death of Mrs. Mary Sasser, widow of the late John Henry Sasser, who 
preceeded her to the grave some 10 years ago, occurred at her home one mile 
North of Greenleaf, yesterday evening about 7 o’clock. The funeral was held 
from the home this afternoon at 3 o’clock. Deceased was the mother of our 
esteemed friend and former townsman Mr. Tom Sasser, now with Messrs. Royall & 
Borden at Durham, and was a most excellent and lovable Christian woman.
