SHERARD, Gabriel (d. 1847)

At his residence in Wayne County, on the 1st instant, in the fifty-fifth year of 
his age, Gabriel Sherard, Esq., a distinguished and estimable citizen. Mr. 
Sherard presided over the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions of Wayne   County 
for many years. He also for several years represented that county in the Senate 
of the Legislature of the State, and was a member of the Convention in 1835 for 
amending the Constitution of the State; all of which stations he filled in a 
manner alike creditable to himself and useful to the public.
