Died

At his residence in Wayne county after a short but painful illness, Mr. Samuel Smith
in the 70th year of his age. Mr. S. was a most devoted husband, an indulgent father,
and a kind and generous neighbor. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and six 
childen, a sister and a host of friends and acquaintances. May God in his infinite 
goodness bless and protect his family and keep them steadfast to the end.
