Walter Stevens, 76, died at 8 o'clock Saturday morning at her home in Grantham Township following several years of declining health with creeping paralysis. Funeral services were conducted at Falling Creek Baptist Church of which she was a member. Interment was in the church cemetery. The pastor, the Rev. T. H. Cooper was in charge, assisted by the Rev. W. R. Stevens of Greensboro, Methodist minister, the Rev. E. L. Parker, Baptist minister, and the Rev. C. E. Stevens. Surviving are her husband; two sons , L. W. and R. E. Stevens of Grantham Township; seven daughters, Mrs. Gurney Hollowell, Mrs. L. A. Warrick, Mrs. Alton Gurley, and Mrs. George Price of Goldsboro, Route 1, Mrs. Marcus Jones, Jr., of Goldsboro.
