	This deed made this 6th day of August 1892 by D.J. Hudson of Wayne 
County State of NC to Mary Hudson of (___________not filled in____________). 
Witnessth that said C.J. Hudson in consideration of the love and affection 
for said Mary Hudson and the further consideration of five hundred dollars 
paid by the said Mary Hudson the same being money received by and from sales 
of her the said Mary Hudson lands the receipt of which is hereby 
acknowledged has given, granted, bargained and sold by these presents do 
give, grant, bargain, sell and convey to said Mary Hudson her heirs and 
assigns a tract of land in Wayne County adjoining the lands of J.H. 
Grantham, G.E. Grantham.  Beginning at a lightwood stake J.H. Grantham's 
corner runs S701.2E 230 &1/4poles to a pine then N15E 96 poles to a small 
water oak then 15&1/2W 76 poles to a stake then West 20 poles to a stake in 
the middle of the old road then with the old road S33&1/2W 19 poles then 
S1&1/2W 96 poles to the beginning containing one hundred eighty six and one 
half *186&1/2) acres more or less.  To have and to hold aforesaid tract of 
land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Mary 
Hudson and her heirs and assigns to her use and behoof.  And the C.J. Hudson 
covenants that he is seized of said premises in fee and his right to convey 
the same in fee simple that the same are free from all encumbrances and that 
she will warrant an defend the said title to the same against the claims of 
all persons whatsoever.  In testimony whereof the said C.J. Hudson has 
hereunto set his hand and seal day and year above written.

	The execution of the foregoing instrument was this day duly proven 
before me by C.J. Hudson the grantor, witnessed by hand and seal this 6th 
day of August 1892.

	The foregoing certificate of J.F. Cox a Justice of the Pearce of 
Wayne county is adjudged to be correct.  Let the instrument with the 
certificate be registered.  Witnessed my hand this 24 day of November 1892.
