Hudson and Mary of Sampson county, state of NC parties of the first part and the Bank of Wayne county NC part of the second part. That the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to them paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained, sold and conveyed and assigned and by these presents do convey and assign unto the part of the second part its successors and assigns a certain note for the sum of six hundred (600) dollars dated November 25, 1892 payable January between 1895 with interest 8% from January 1, 1893 payable to Mary Hudson by Geo. M. Warrick and Elizabeth Warrick and also a mortgage securing the payment of the same executed by said Geo. M. Warrick and Elizabeth Warrick to said Mary Hudson November 25, 1892 which has been duly proved registered in the office of the Register of Deeds of Wayne county North Carolina Book 67 page 242 on the 17th day of October 1893 and also a tract of land lawfully described in said mortgage containing 274 acres more or less situated in Wayne County, NC together with all the rights and powers of said parties of the first part or either of them as mortgages and particularly the rights and powers and authority to foreclose said mortgage b sale of said lands upon default in payment of said note. Faison J.P. of said county do hereby certify that C.J. Hudson and wife Mary Hudson personally appeared by me on this day and acknowledge the due execution of the forgoing deed and the said Mary Hudson being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband - touching her voluntary execution of the same doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily without fear or compulsion of her husband or any other person and doth state voluntarily assent thereto. Bizzell, CfC of Sampson county, North Carolina do hereby certify that the foregoing certificate of J.F.
