Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions 
Feby Court 1867

To David McKinne Geeting:
We do hereby appoint you Overseer of the Public Road extending from the 
south end of D B Everitts Mill through Everittsville & Dudley to where 
the said road intersects Duplin Road at W J Halls plantation

Hands liable to work. Males between the ages of 18 to 45 - tools to be 
selceted by the Overseer. Notice to be given three days before the day 
of working. Penalty for failing to work upon due notice being given, two 
dollars per day.

the third Monday of Feby AD 1867
