The Justices of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions of Wayne County
To C T Hines Greeting
We do hereby appoint you Overseer of the public road extending from D B Everitts 
mill to the fork at the lower end of Richard Caseys place
Witness W G Hollowell Clerk of said court at office the third Monday Feb AD 1866

Hands Liable to Work
White Males between 18 and 45
Male Slaves, and free males of color between 16-50
May cut poles and other necessary timber and dig ditches to repair roads and 
causeways
Penalty for not working. One dollar per day

Roads
Roads twenty feet wide-sixteen feet clear of stumbs and runners
Causeways, fourteen feet wide
Sign Posts to be put up at forks of roads
Penalty for omission, Indictment, &c
