My son John Potts, ages 15 years, having left my home on August 23d without my 
consent, I hereby forwarn and forbid all persons from employing or in any way 
harboring or encouraging him in his disobedience, under penalty of law. If John will
come home he will be welcomed.

John was a son of Newman Potts and wife Susan Marinda Lewis who lived in Brogden Township.
He is buried in Potts Cemetery - April 14, 1865 - April 13, 1883
