State of No Carolina
To the Sheriff of Wayne County Greeting
You are herby commanded to summons a jury of good and lawful men of your county 
to lay off a new road on the lands of John Everitt Esq. agreeable to the prayer 
of the petitioner and your providing return to our next county court to be held 
for the county of Wayne at the Court House in Waynesboro on the 3d Monday of May 
next. Herein fail not. Witness P. Hooks Clerk of our said court at office the 3d 
Monday of February 1832
