History of this group: According to Si Harrington with the Department of Archives & History, Camp Glenn was on the sound at Morehead City, NC where today's community college sits. Prior to 1903, the units there were considered State Guard and afterwards, the National Guard. During this time frame, the troops were training to deploy to Camp Stewart on the Rio Grande in Texas to go after Pancho Villa who was one of the most prominent Mexican Revolutionary generals.
