Sam was born 1873 in Anderson Co., SC, son of George Washington Hall and Sarah 
Gambrell. Nora was born 1876 in Sampson Co., NC, daughter of Joseph Abner 
(Joab) Lee and Elizabeth Carraway Singleton Brown. 

Sam and Nora had 10 children: 1)Virginia Dare Hall, married Laurence Porter 
Johnson; 2) Carl Hall; 3) James Ruby Hall, married Sallie Elizabeth Twigg; 4) 
Richard Forest Hall, married Ethel Mae Dawson; 5) Marvin Didamus Hall, married 
first, Callie Bliss Howell, married second, Gladys Waddell; 6) Gracy Violet 
Hall, married William Henry Turner; 7) Sallie Maebell Hall, married Joseph 
Spence Raper; 8) Willie Abner Hall, married Myrtle Irene Cuddington; 9) Joseph 
Auburn Hall, married Katie Mae Lee; 10) Margaret Elizabeth Hall, married 
Willie Kirby.
