On this 24th day of June A.D. 1911, personally appeared before me, E.P. Davis, 
a Notary Public in and for the State and county aforesaid, John Q. Edwards a 
resident of Duke, Harnett County North Carolina, and who, being duly sworn 
says he has known Mrs. Mary Jane Barefoot all of her life and that she was 
married to James Barefoot in August, 1867, and that she has not married since 
her husband, James Barefoot, died.
