Goldsboro Headlight, Jan. 5, 1899
 On Wednesday, December 28th at 11:30 a. m. , at the home of the bride's 
father, Rev. John Brodgen, of near Goldsboro, Mr. Albert J. Williams was united 
in the holy bonds of wedlock to Miss Eula Brodgen. The ceremony was very 
impressively performed by Rev. D. A. Watkins. The attendants were the 
following: Mr. Frank Brodgen and Miss Irma Williams, Mr. Gurtherie Sutton and 
Miss Lou Williams, Mr. L. D. Summerlin and Miss Mary Daniel, Mr. R.P. Raiford 
and Miss Pennie Kornegay. Immediately after the ceremony the happy young couple 
with the bridal party left for the home of the groom's father, Mr. Uriah 
Williams, where an elegant reception was tendered them with a large circle of 
of close relatives and friends that evening at 6:30 o'clock.
