Goldsboro Messenger 5 Feb 1885
At the residence of J. F. Cox, Esq., on the 15th of January, Mr. C. B. Pennington 
and Miss Mandie Cogdell, Esq. Cox officiating. All of Wayne County. The attendants 
were Master Frank Grantham and Miss Florence Cox, Mr. M. E. Cox and Miss Missouri 
Grantham and Mr. G. W. Worrick and Miss Lizzie Worrick. The supper in honor of the 
occasion, prepared under the superintendence of Mrs. J. F. Cox, showed what a high 
degree of excellence she possessed to make an occasion of the kind enjoyable to 
all. May the wedded life of the contracting parties be one of unclouded bliss and 
happiness.
