In the name of God Amen I Samuel Barnes of the County of Wayne And State of north Carolina being in my Common Station of health and of sound mind And memory thank be to god for the same Do make this my Last will and testament In maner and form as follows I Lend to my beloved wife Sarah Barnes the plantation whereon I now live on both Sides of the great S[w]amp and the boswell Place as long as she Lives or her widow Hood and I lend to my wife her life time Four negros named lewis lott noah Hanah one fether bed and furnitur[e] and all my Stock of horses cattle hogs and sheep And all crop and all my working tools of every description and all my kitchen and House hold furniture I Give to my son Jacob Barnes two negros Jim and patience I Give to my son Daved Barnes two neg[r]os Wiley and noah I Give to my son Reddick Barnes two negro Cale and Lott I Give to my son Stephen Barnes three negros Harry Joe and hager I Give to my son Silas Barnes two hundred and sixty acres of Land more or less whereon I now live lying on both Sid[e]s of the great swamp And the boswell place containing one Hundred and fifty acres of Land and five negros Diner Lewis Jack Charity and anthany One table two chairs and one Still and Still jug And all my cider casks and case of white bottles And what belongs to the case I Lend to my daughter Patty Stancell Two negros Selah and walton during her Natu[r]al life time and after her death I give Them to be equally devided among Lawful Heirs of her body I Give to my daughter Sarah Rentfro Two negros Ephraim and tamer I Give to my daughter Anna Peacok three [negroes] Charles hanah lisha All that I have Lent to my wife except The negros after her deth I give to be equelly Devied among all my Childred And Lastly I constitute my two Sons Daved Barnes and Silas Barnes and Son in law St[e]phen Peacock Exe[cu]tors to This my Last will and testament As witness my hand and seale this The 26 Day of September 1818.
