Devised May 30, 1830 Proven November Term, 1831 In the name of God Amen I Sarah Barnes of the County of Wayne and State of No Carolina being of a Sounde and perfect mind and memory Blessed be God for the same do make this my Last Will and Testamente in manner and form as follows First I Give an[d] bequeath to my Beloved Grand Sons of [son] Silas Barnes to wit John Barnes, Stephen Barnes, Wilie Barnes, and Godfrey Barnes the hole of my Land to be Eculey Devied betwene them foure Boyes. Secont I Give and Bequeath to my Beloved Gran Daughter Nancey Barnes one cow and calf. I allso Leave the Ballence of my Property to be Equalley divided Betwen these five children John, Stephen, Wilie, Godfrey, and Nancey. and Lastley I constitute my son Silas Barnes Executor to this my Last Will and Testamente as witness my hand and seal this 30 Day of May 1830.
