     State of North Carolina          Wayne County

     I NICHOLAS WASHINGTON BEST of the county and state aforesaid, do 
make this my last will and testmament to wit. I give devise and bequeth 
unto my daughter ROBERTA E. BEST my double case watch and CLAUDE W. 
BEST my silver watch and SALLIE C. BEST my clock. I gave to the three 
above names all I possess equally between them except one dollar I gave 
to my son COUNCIL J. BEST.
