Wayne County, NC - Will of Samuel Colyar, 1807 ~~~~~~~~~~ Be it remembered this Thirtieth day of the seventh month one Thousand Eight Hundred and Seven, that I SAMUEL COLYAR being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my Last will and testament in manner and form as follows. ITEM I give and bequeath to my son JOSEPH COLYAR the Plantation whereon I now live with the Lands belonging thereto; I also give him one bed and furniture. ITEM I give and bequeath to my Daughter MIRIAM HALL the old plantation I bought of John Grace with all the lands that lies on the upper side of the Hide Branch. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my son SAMUEL COLYAR all my Lands that I have below the said Hide Branch. ITEM I give and bequeath unto SARAH COLYAR my grand Daughter one bed and Furniture, also I give to my grand Daughter ELIZABETH HALL one bed and furniture, and the choice of beds and furniture. And the remaining part of my Estate I desire to be Equally divided between all my children, ZACHARIAH, JAMES, MIRIAM, JOHN, SAMUEL & JOSEPH, my wearing apparel, I desire my son ZACHARIAH to have one half and the other half to be Equally Divided between all the rest of my sons.
