It was recorded on Aug. 6, 1817, at which time //Tobias was already deceased. Tobias was the son of Stephen Cook, Sr. of Jones Cook's line. In the name of God amen: I Tobias Cook of the County of Wayne and State of North Carolina calling to mind the Mortality of my Body and Knowing it is appointed for all Men Once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say first that my Will is that all my Just Debts be Paid and secondly I give all the Remainder Part of my Estate my land and my Negros and other Property to my Beloved Father.
