Item I. It is my will and desire that my executrix hereinafter named shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relatives and friends, and that she shall pay out of the first money coming into her hands as part and parcel of my estate all funeral expenses and all my just debts. Item II. It is my will and desire that the tract of land conveyed to me by M. K. Crawford & wife Z. O., containing 47 acres, more or less, and situate in Wayne County, North Carolina, be rented out annually by my executrix, either publicly or privately as she shall deem best, and the proceeds from the same be used by my wife, Adrianna Coor, who is also hereby appointed my executrix, for the support, use and benefit of herself and her children in such manner as she shall deem best for her welfare and theirs, until our youngest child shall arrive at the age of 21 years, when it is my will and desire and I hereby devise that the said land be sold and the proceeds of the same be equally divided, share and share alike, between our said children, to wit: Anna Eugenia Coor, Charles Edmund Coor, Kate Coor and Temperance Coor, and if any one or more of them should die before the youngest reaches the age of 21, without lawful issue, then the share or shares of such child or children to be equally divided among the survivor or survivors; but if any one or more than one of said children should die leaving lawful issue, then said issue to represent its or their parent or parents and take such share as such parent or parents would have taken if living. Item III. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Adrianna Coor, one horse, one buggy and harness, one cow, one calf, one sow and her pigs, two bed steads, beds and necessary furniture, one sewing machine, one set cane bottom chairs, one rocking chair, half dozen painted chairs, one sofa, all the kitchen furniture she may choose to have, all of which she shall select from the personal property on hand at my death, all the [personalty?] which I may have at my death, also in addition to the above bequests, it is my will and desire and I herby so bequeath that my said wife shal have for herself and family a years support out of the crops, stock and provisions and personal property on hand at my death, to be assigned in the manner provided by law, in accordance with our present mode of living. Item IV. I give and bequeath to my daughter Anna Eugenia Coor her bed, bedstead, with necessary furniture, one bureau, one falling leaf table, my large family Bible, one clock, one [illegible] in my room. Item V. I give and bequeath to my son Charles Edmund Coor one bed, bedstead with necessary furniture, one book case and one side board. Item VI. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Kate Coor the sum of Fifty Dollars to be held by her mother in trust for her, without bond. Item VII. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Temperance Ophelia the sum of Fifty Dollars to be held by her mother in trust for her without bond. Item VIII. It is my will and desire that all the residue of my personal estate be sold and all the debts due me be collected, and after all my just debts are paid and all the legacies above named are delivered and paid, it is my will and desire that the residue be loaned by executrix upon good real estate security and the interest collected and applied to the support of my wife and children and to their eucation in such manner as she shall deem proper and necessary, until the oldest shall arrive at the age of 21 years when be shall be paid one fourth of the principal thereof, and as each arrives at said age he shall be paid one fourth of the principal of the same, and if any one or more of my said children should die without leaving lawful issue then the share or shares of such child or children to go to his or their surviving brothers or sisters as the case may be; and if any one or more should die leaving issue, before said age, then such issue to represent parent or parents and tale such share or shares as the parent or parents would take if living. Item IX. I hereby revoke all former wills made by me. Item X. I hereby constitute my beloved wife Adrianna Coor executrix of this my last will and testament.
