Wayne County, NC - Will of Robert Crawford, 1820 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will of Robert Crawford 1820 Wayne County In the name of God Amen. I, Robert Crawford Sr, being weak in body but of a sound mind and memory carring to mind the mortality of my body and that it is once appointed for all men to die do make this my last will and testament in manner and form (viz) First my will is that all my just debts be paid Item I give and bequeath to the heirs of my son Arthur Crawford five cents to them and their heirs forever Item I give and bequeath to my son Charles Crawford five cents to him and his heirs forever Item I give and bequeath to my son Henry Crawford five cents to him and his heirs forever Item I give and bequeath to my son Robert Crawford Jun five cents to him and his heirs forever Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Phereba Powell the wife of Enos Powell five cents to her and her heirs forever Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Anney Council fifty dollars in cash, two cows & babes, one feather bed and its necessary furniture forever Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Edith Bridges the wife of David Bridges ten dollars in cash to she and her heirs forever My will is that all my estate be sold by my executors at a credit as they may think best and the money arising therefrom after paying all my just debts and then Legacy that is before named the balance to be equally divided among the following heirs namely Jane Howell the wife of Ralph Howell, Nancy Howell the wife of Henry Howell, Bethany Crawford, Margaret Hamilton, Anney Council, & Robert C.
