First – My executor hereinafter named shall give my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives and pay all my funeral expenses together with all my just debts out of the first money that comes into his hands belonging to my estate. Second – I give to my daughter Lauren, wife of Adam Smith, a tract of land purchased by me from R. W. Taylor adjoining the lands of L. T. Edmondson, W. L. Randolp and others containing seventy-six acres more or less, also another tract known as the Madison Edmondson land containing forty acres, more or less during her life time and then to her heirs, I further direct my executor to invest in land five hundred dollars that may come into his hands belonging to my estate for the benefit of my said daughter during her life time and at her death I will and direct that said land shall go to her heirs. It is my wish and I further direct that if my said daughter shall die without leaving any child or children of her boddy, then in that case all of the above mentioned property shall go back to my heirs. Third – I give to my son E. L. Edmondson a tract of land it being a portion of the land I now live on at northern end of said land beginning at a ditch on the said road known as Sprighs Bridger road and runs nuthest? (2 words illegible) and which said branch to the high water mark and then crosses this branch and runs to the mill pond during his natural life and then to his heirs. Fourth – I give my wife the remaining porsion of my land it being the land where I now reside including the dwelling during her life time and then to my son Walter Edmondson and his heirs. 5th – I further direct my executor to give my wife three hundred dollars month of personal property such as she may discern or select. 6th – I give to my sons E L Edmondson and Walter Edmondson my steam saw mill and all fixtures? thereto to share and share alike. 7th – My will and desire is that all the residue of my estate if any after taking out divises and legacies above mentioned and if there should be any surplus over and above the payment of debts, expenses and legacies that said surplus above be equally divided between my sons above mentioned, share and share alike. I hereby constitute E. L. Edmondson, my son, my lawful executor to all interests and purposes to execute this my last Will and Testament according to the terms entered and meaning of the same and my clauses and parts thereof.
