Wayne County, NC - Will of Harriet Ginn, 1877

In the name of God amen
   I HARRIET GINN of Wayne County and state of North Carolina being of 
sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly 
existence do hereby declare and publish my last will and testament in 
the manner and form following Viz:
1st   My will is that my just debts with my burial expenses be paid out 
of the first money that should come into the hands of my executors 
hereinafter named.
2nd  My will is that my son A J GINN shall have the bed on which I now 
lie with furniture belonging to the same and that my daughter SALLY 
GINN shall have my other bed and furniture belonging to the same also 
my trunk and wearing apparel also that my daughter SALLY shall have all 
of my cattle.
3rd My will is that all my lumber be sold by my executors to the best 
advantage for my children.
(THERE IS NO 4TH)
5th  My will is that my tract of land containing sixty (60) acres more 
or less be equally divided between my three children CALDONIA ETHRIDGE 
wife of JAMES ETHRIDGE, A J GINN and SALLY GINN and also that my 
executors with the help of a surveyor shall divide as nearly equal as 
possible the land above mentioned and pay all expenses of the same out 
of any money that may be in the hands of my executors.
6th  My will is that my executors hereinafter named shall settle with 
the administration of my Fathers estate and if any money may be coming 
to me it shall be appropreated as herein before stated.
7th  My will is that if any money shall remain in the hands of my 
executors after my liabilities are settled it also shall be equally 
divided among my three children herein before named.
8th  I hereby appoint my friends H B GARDNER and J M LATHAM as 
executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other 
wills by me made.
9th  My will is that in case any one of the three children should die 
before he or she is twenty one years old that his or her part shall be 
equally divided between the two surviving.
   In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 22nd day of 
April, A D 1877
