Wayne County, NC - Will of Apsilla Gurley, 1893 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will of Apsilla Gurley Wayne County 1893 I Apsilla Gurley of the County of Wayne and State of N. C. being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form ollowing---That my executor hereinafter named shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relations and friends, and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts however and to whomever owing, out of the money that may first come into his hands as a part or parcel of my estate. I give and bequeath to my eldest son Richard W Gurley the sum of One Dollar to be paid by my executor out of any money belonging to my estate- to be his at his disposal absolutely forever. I give and devise to my son John T Gurley the tract of land where on I now live, bounded as follows; joining the lands of Johnathan Pearson, Pheribe Bridgers, John T Dees and H. E. Gurley, containing seventy two acres more or less to have and to hold to him and his heirs in fee simple forever, also I give and bequeath to my son John T Gurley, all of my personal property not otherwise disposed of including cost all my farming implements all my household kitchen furniture except one bed and covering and one table (which I give to my youngest son) and all my poultry and all other personal property of mine. If there should be any not otherwise disposed of to be his at his disposal absolutely forever I give and bequeath to my son Needham H Gurley the sum of One Dollar to be paid by my executor out of the money belonging to my estate to be his at his disposal absolutely forever I give and bequeath to my son William H Gurley the sum of One Dollar to be paid by my executor to be his at his disposal absolutely forever I give and bequeath to my youngest son Hardy E Gurley One bed the one which I now sleep on including covering in fact a bed complete also one table which now sits in my fireplace room to be his at his disposal absolutely forever And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son John T Gurley my lawful executor to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause thereof hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by me hereto for made.
