Wayne County, NC - Wills & Estates - Sarah Hines - 1825 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Cathy Blow Source: Copy of Will filed at the NC State Archives CR103.801.8 series: Wills 1774-1927 STATE of North Carolina Wayne County 14-June-1825 I Sarah Hines of said County being in a low state of health but in my sound and perfect mind and memory knowing it is appointed for us all to die and for the tillen my affairs in this present world do make this my last will in manner and form. 1st I give to my son John one cattle call Diamond, one shot gun, one saddle , one sow and pigs, his chair three______ one small and two large, one water pail, one washer tub, one weeding hoe, and one iron wedge, one small pewter dish, three pewter plates, 4 white bowls, 2 mugs, one half gallon pewter bason. 2nd I give to daughter Elizabeth two dollars in cash. 3rd I give to grandaughter Sarah Howell one cow 4th I give to my daughter Becky one Earthen pitcher 5th I give to my daughter Peggy all the geese and goslins. The balance of my Estate not given away, I leave to be sold by my executor and the money raised from the sales to be equal divided between my children as herein named: Mathis, Demaris, Kesiah, Becky, Peggy and Christopher. My will further is that there shall be sufficent of corn mill ______lard ____ for all the children to live on until the new crop now growing is housed and the said crop to be sold with the balance of my estate and the money to go to the children as named to go equal. I further give to my son John one table. I give to my daughter Hannah Howell one stack ____ one large cattle. Lastly I appoint Micajah Cox and Richard Musgrave as executors to this my last will the day above written.
