In The Name of God Amen I George Jernigan of the State of North Carolina and 
Wayne county being of perfict mind and memory blessed be god do this 21th of 
August in the year of our Lord 1792 make and publish this my Last will and 
Testament in manner following that is to say. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Item/ I give to my beloved Wife Lydda Jernigan One Horse cald Dick and her 
bridle and saddle.  Two feather beds and furniture my crop of corn as it 
stands and weaving Loom & Two cows and Calves Four Ewes and the big pewter 
dish one small pot all the Hoggs that is Cald the house hoggs my plow hoes and 
Weading hoes and also I lend to my Beloved Wife Lydda Jernigan my Negro Fellow 
Tom During her Widowhood or Life and then I Give Tom my Negro Fellow to my 
beloved Daughter Zilpha Jernigan to her and her Heirs and one shilling 
sterling.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Item/ I give to my Daughter Mary Jernigan Wife of Josiah Jernigan one shs 
sterling.~~
Item/ I give to my Son George Jernigan one shilling sterling~~~~
Item/ I give to my son Arthur Jernigan on shil. sterling.~~~~
Item/ I give to my son Frederic Jernigan one [one 4 letter word unreadable] 
San and all the rest of My sons to make us of her to do there own Worke. ~~~
Item/ I give to my son Mills Jernigan one Shil Sterling.~~~~~~~~~~~

I Leave the rest of My Estate to be sold by my Exct. And not by the Sheff and 
Twelve Months Credit to be given and the Monies arising from the sale of my 
Estate and the Debts due to be Equally Divided between my Two Daughters 
Elizabeth Jernigan and Zilpha Jernigan & I comply with the Deed of gift before 
given.  And I hereby make and ordain this my Last will and Testament.  I 
appoint my Trusty friend John Coor Pinder My Exct. of this my Last Will and 
Testament.  In witness whereof I the sd.. George Jernigan have set my Hand and 
Seal This Day and year above Written
