                Will of Mary Lewis - 1846

In the name of God Amen I Mary Lewis A Citerson of the State of
North Carolina and county of Wayne Being of sound mind and means
do this the 26 day of Oct 1846 make and establish this my last
will and Testament that is to say

I want all of my property Eaqualy devided Betiwen Martha Peacock
and Penelope Cox and John C Bardin and Ephraigm Bardin and
the heirs of Major Bardin Decd

if Martha Peacock should die before her husband garry Peacock
I want him to have one half and the other to my Bardin childring

I want Penelope Cox to have hers her life time and after her
Death to go to her childring

I do not give to Ephraigm Bardin but lend unto him the interest
of one fifth part of my property his life time. I give said fifth 
part to Ephraigm Bardins heirs

I give to my son James H Lewis one bofat that stans in my
dwelling house

I give to my son Wm Lewis one bofat that stans in his own
dwelling house

And I do here by make and ordain my worthy friend Thomas T
Hollowell Executor to this my last will and testament

Whereof I the said Mary Lewis have set my hand and seal to this
my last will and testament the day and year above writen

Wayne County Nov Term 1848
Then was the above will of Mary Lewis produced in open court
offered for probat & was duly proved by the oath of Uriah
Langston a subscribing witness thereto & ordered to be recorded
at the same time Thos T Hollowell Executor therein named appears
in open court and qualified us letters testementary issued to
said Thos T Hollowell
