                 Will of Leonard Lewis - 1888

North Carolina
Wayne County:  Know all men by these presents, that I, Leonard Lewis, of 
said county and state, being of sound mind and anxious to dispose of my 
estate by will, do make and declare the following to be my last will and 
testament

Item I.  I desire all my just debts to be first paid, and then my wife, 
Sarah J. Lewis, to have all my land and personal property during her 
lifetime - after her death to go to her children by me, and to the issue 
of such children as may then be dead

Item II.   I devise and bequeath my life insurance to my youngest son, 
Robert J. and if he dies without heir, I desire my next youngest child to 
have one half of said insurance, and the next two youngest children to 
have one fourth each

Item III.  I desire my wife Sarah J. to be executrix of this will.

Signed, sealed and declared to be my last will and testament this 
Oct. 20, 1888
