Wayne County, NC - Will & Estate Records Will of Mary McKinne - 1814 In the name of God Amen I Mary McKinne being in a low state of health but of perfect mind and memory and recollecting it is once appointed for mankind to die do make constitute and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament utterly hereby revoking all and every will or wills by me heretofore made and first of all I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body to the dust from whence it came to be buried in a decent Christian like manner 2nd I give and bequeath one negro girl by the name of Channy to Sally McKinne and the three first children that the said negro girl Channy has, it is my will that Polly McKinne Daughter of Wm McKinne should have the first child, Betsy Bass the second and Susanna McKinne the third child and I give and bequeath the same to them and their heirs forever 3rd I give to my beloved son Richd McKinne one negro man by the name of Ben to him and his heirs forever, I also give to my son Richd one bed and furniture 4th I give to my daughter Zelpah Fellows one large kettle one pot one pair of steelyards and two hackles to her and her heirs forever 5th I give to my daughter Elizabeth Boykin one large chist to her and her heirs forever 6th It is further my will that all my estate not heretofore given away be sold and after all my just debts paid the ballance to be equally divided between my son Richard and my daughter Zelpah to them and their heirs forever 7th And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my two sons Richard and Michael McKinne Exectrs to this my last will and testament.
