I ARCHILIUS HOWELL of the state of North carolina and living in Wayne County Being in my perfick and memory which and which I give my thanks to God make this my last will and testament in manner and form following that it to say Item i lend to my beloved wife ELIZABETH HOWELL during her life or widowhood Two negros HARDY and LEVEE one Bay mare________and Two Cows and calves two sows and pigs Two feather beds and furniture Two pots dutch oven 1 skillet four pewter plates two dishes, two dishes 2 basins all pewter and all the earthen ware that belongs to my ______ and that my beloved wife have choice of my pewter and potts. ___ and cutter plow and one ___ hoe weading hoes two axes and to take her choice and her riding saddle and Bridle one weaving loom and all the cooper ware belong to the kitchen and my will and desire is that my wife and her negros that is lent him should work with my son ABRAHAM HOWELL and the crops of corn and all the ______ of! the crops_______wheat cotton that is raised on my land should be equally devided into three parts and my wife to have one part and my son ABRAHAM HOWELL to have two parts and all my ____ when Land to be equally devided in the same manner as the ___is. My will and desire is that my wife should have the use of my plantation whereon I know live Lands belonging to the same besides what I shall give to my son HENRY HOWELL hereafter in my will my desire is that if my wife and my son ABRAHAM HOWELL should disagree and not be satisfied in working together that in that my desire is that my executors hereagter named should devide my lands and plantation and orchards into these parts and my wife to have one third part during her widowhood and one chest all the cards and one linning wheel one wobling wheel and the knives and all the forks and half a dozen of chears her choice and one looking glass and to have one years provisions she and my son ABRAHAM and there family Item I give to my son JOHN HOWELL the lands he now lives on to hin and his heirs forever and what I gave him before Item I give and bequeth to my son HENRY HOWELL all my lands that lies within his lines that is to say below the little branch below the house to there family Item I give to my son JOHN HOWELL the lands he now lives on to him and his heirs forever and what I gave him before Item I give to my son inlaw DAVID PATE one shilling Item I give to my grand daughter CHARITY PATE one feather bed and twenty dollars to school and clothe her and my grand son STEPHEN PATE twenty dollars to behold him Item I give to my son ABRAHAM HOWELL all my lands not before given away and my____________ to him and his heirs forever his mother is to have the use of the land as before mentioned and one Negro girl named LINCE one bed and furniture____________________________________________________ Item I give to mu son CALEB HOWELL one Negro Boy called TOM ______________________I give to! my son STEPHEN HOWELL one Negroboy named GEORGE _______________________Item I give to my son NEEDHAM HOWELL one negro named girl called CHANEY _____________________________________ Item i give to my son DANIEL HOWELLone half of the money when the property is sold that I lend to my wife and the rest of the money to be equally devided ___________________________ Deponet my sons HENRY HOWELL and my son ABRAHAM HOWELL my executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this the fourth day of September in the year of our Lord 1811 signed in several places before assigned ARCHELOUS HOWELL ??
