Wayne County, NC - Elizabeth Howell Will, 1821 ----¤¤¤---- Will of Elizabeth Howell 1821 Wayne County In the name of God Amen. I ELIZABETH HOWELL being in a low state of health but of perfect mind and memory do make constitute and ordain this to be my last will and testament and first of all I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who give it and my body to the dust from whence it came to be buried in a Christian Like Manner at the discretion of my executors herein after named. 2nd I give to my son HENRY HOWELL ten dollars 3rd I give to my son CALEB HOWELL ten dollars 4th I give to my son STEPHEN HOWELL's children five shillings 5th I give to my son NEEDHAM HOWELL five dollars 6th I give to my daughter ELIZABETH's Children five shillings 7th I give to my son DANIEL HOWELL ten dollars 8th I give son ABRAM HOWELL five dollars and the cart wheel _____ 9th? ( looks like a # was jumped over) 10th I give to my Grand daughter WINIFRED HOWELL, NEEDHAM's Daughter one two year old heifer 11th I give to my Grand daughter EMELIA HOWELL one thread habit 12th I give to my LUCY all my everyday clothes and my Cloak 13th I give all the rest of my clothes to my son JOHN HOWELL's Two Girls WINIFRED and ELIZA to be equally devided between them 14th I give to my son JOHN HOWELL all the rest of my property that I have in this world 15th and lastly I do hereby nominate content and appoint my beloved son JOHN HOWELL and JOHN DEANS Executors to this my last will and testament upheld hereby reckoning all and Every other will or wills by me hereto fore made.
