Wayne County, NC - Will of Mary Newsom, 1822

    State of North Carolina, Wayne County, in the name of God amen. I, 
MARY NEWSOM, being in perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this 
my last will and testament in name and form as follows.
     First of all, I desire my lawful debts to be paid.
     I give to my daughter CHARY BARNES ten dollars and one fourth part 
of my clothes.
     I give to my daughter MARY BARNES ten dollars and one fourth part 
of my clothes.
     I give to my daughter PHARIBY WOOTEN five dollars and one fourth 
part of my clothes.
     I give to my daughter LANY WOOTEN ten dollars and one chest one 
cloak one fourth part of my clothes.
     I give to JORDAN NEWSOM one blanket, all the remainder of my 
estate sale and be equally divided all my children except PHARIBY WOOTEN.
     I give PHERIBY WOOTEN'S child equal part of property divided.
     Lastly I appoint JOHN BARNES, WILLIAM WOOTEN and SAMUEL BARNES my
executors to this my last will and testament whereof I set my hand and 
seal this 27 of September 1822.
