Pate, Jr. State of North Carolina Wayne County In the name of God amen I Daniel Pate being sick but of a sound mind and memory praise God for the same and what worldly estate God has blessed me with. Item I lend to my loving wife Mary Pate my plantation during her widowhood and also a childs part of all my estate. Item I give and bequeath to my two sons Charles Pate and Thomas Pate my plantation to be equally divided between them. Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Pearcey Pate equal share of all the rest of my estate.
