Original Wills, 1776-1927 CR 103.801.14 Michael Revell, 1836. To all whom it may concern, know ye that I, Michael Revell, of the county of Wayne and state of North Carolina, being of sound mind and memory do this day make and ordain this my last will and testamint in manner and form as followeth to (wit): 1st item: I give to my belovied wife Patience Revell one hundred and twenty five acres of land, it being the land and plantation where on I now live, to her benefut [in] her life time. I also give to her two feather beds, beaddsteads, and furnature. I also give to her one sorrel mayor colld Jinna. Also, I give her two cows and calves, all my hogs of every kind, one large pine chest, one pine table, one trunk, six sitting chair, two pots, one duch oven, one spider, one skillet one case knives and forks, six earthen plaites, two large bowls, two sets cups and saucer, one glass pitcher, two earthen ditto? one stone jar and one stone pitcher, one large pewter basin and six pewter plaits, six table spoons, one woolling wheele and one flax wheele, two woshing tubs, one water pail, one piging, two pair core? carts? and wheels, two axes and two [hard to read next 4 words] and 1 crop saw one hand saw and chissel, one plough frame two plough hoes one earthen dish one pewter dish, six cider barrels, all my crop of corn and fodder, all my bacon to her use and benefit her life time and at her death, what she leaves of the above mentioned property except the land to be sold and equally divided between my five children, say, Martha? Maclattan, Mathew Revell, Mary Brily, Micajah Revell & Patience Davis. It is my will and disir that at the death of my wife Patience Revell that my son John Revell shall have the above mentioned one hundred and twenty five acres of land. 2nd item: I give and bequeath to my son Exum Revell, one tract of land lying and being in the county of Wayne and state of North Carolina and bounded as follows, beginning at a bunch of maples in the long brainch near the end of the old mill dam, thence a west coarse to a corner in Wilis Ringz line, all my land south of that line to him and his heirs forever. All the residue of my property of every kind not heretofore mentioned to be sold at my death and equally divided between my five children heretofore mentioned. I nominate and appoint my friend Thomas Ham and my son John Revell my executors to this my last will and testament.
