Of the State of North Carolina and County of Wayne being sick and weak of body but of a sound mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of my body knowing that it is appointed unto men once to die and for the better settling of my worldly estate do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following as Viz ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son John Sanders one hundred acres of land lying at the upper end of my land joining Rice Prices land from Naughunty Swamp out to the line joining Powels land also two cows and calves now in his possession. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son Joseph two hundred dollars in cash two cows calves ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son Richard one hundred acres of land joining John Sassers and John Saanders lands also my black mare and saddle two cows and calves ITEM: I desire that the remainder part of my lands be equally divided from Naughunty out to Richards line and the upper part at the decease or widowhood of my wife to my son Matthew and he lower part to my son William their heirs or assigns, Also I desire my son William to have ? hundred dollars to make good the delivery of his land (word missing due to taping) other brother also I desire William is to have two cows, 2 calves, ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Feri? one feather bed and firniture two cows and calves that at the time she mary or leave the family, also as long as convenient ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth one feather bed and furniture two cows and calves one hundred dollars, ITEM: I lend my beloved wife Elizabeth my land and plantation that I have given to my son Matthew during her natural life or widowhood one feather bed and furniture, horse named Darling and saddle during her life or widowhood I also desire that a committee of five men appointed by my wife and executors lot and set of as much of my nicessarity goods or utincils as strickly necessary for the use of my wife and the support of the family under her care and after her decease or widowhood I desire that it all be sold and equally be devided between my son (missing 2 words) and my two daughters. It is my will and desire that my wife should let my son Mathew have one feather bed and furniture and two cows and calves from the increase of the stock lent her at the time he is twenty one years old or the time my wife is deceased or marries, I desire that my Negro woman Mol and all her children be at the discretion of my wife, I desire that the remainder part of my estate that I have not heretofore given to be sold, and the commission before mentioned catise? what has been by me before given and then the said money with money due after legasies made if any left be equally divided between all my children in proportion to what they have already received. Lastly I do make and appoint my three sons John, Joseph and Richard Sanders executors to this my last Will and Testament hereby denying and revoking all former wills or wills by me made or published acknowledging and ratifying this my last Will and Testament whereunto the said William Sanders the testator have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this 31st day of July 1805.
