Pierce Will of Nancy Sauls: "August 3d 1849 In the name of God Amen, I NANCY SAULS of Wayne County and State of N Carolina being of Sound mind and perfect memory do resign my body to the earth and my Spirit to God who gave it, Do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form to (wit namely) Item 1st I give and bequeath unto my daughter SMITHY GRACE one dollar. Item 2d I give and bequeath unto my Daughter CHARLOTTE HEATH one Dollar. Item 3d I give and bequeath unto my Daughter ELIZABETH DARDIN one dollar. Item 4th I give and bequeath unto my Son BURWELL SAULS one dollar.
