Wayne County, NC - Will of Sarah Smith, 1815 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Be it Remembered that I SARAH SMITH of Wayne County & State of North Carolina being Very low and Feable in boddy but sound of memory do think best in this Condition make this my will and give and dispose of my estate in manner & form following Viz My Just debts first paid ITEM THE FIRST I give and bequeath unto LAZARUS SMITH, SAMPSON SMITH, and DREWRY SMITH, JOSEPH SMITH, PHEBE HOWELL, AVAY ROUSE, POLLEY BIZZELL, SARAH PARNAL twenty Shillings to be equally divided Between each of them ITEM THE SECOND I give and bequeath unto JOHN SMITH one horse named Ca___ , one Bed bedstead and furniture one chest Together with the whole of my Real and personal estate my wearing Clothes excepted I give and bequeath them to AVEY ROUSE Lastly I do nominate and appoint my son JOHN SMITH to this my last will and testament in Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 13th day of December 1814 SARAH (X) SMITH Seal Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of us STEPHEN SMITH DARRI ?
