Wayne County, NC - Will of Tabitha Smith, 1849

In the name of God Amen
     I  TABITHA SMITH of Wayne County in the State of North Carolina
Being of sound mind and memory but knowing that men and woman
once must die doth on the 28th day of April one thousand eight hun-
dred forty nine make this my last will and testament and form following
1ST  I give & bequeath my sole to God whom I trust I am and my body
to be decently buried
2ND  I give my note that I hold against my Brother WRIGHT TAYLOR
to him and Sister SMYTHA BRITT to be equally divided between 
them both
3RD  I give all the rest of my property of ever name and nature to my 
Husband  WRIGHT SMITH
        And lastly I constitute and appoint my Brother WRIGHT TAYLOR
my true and lawful Executor to this my last will and testament in wit-
ness I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28th day of April 1849
