Wayne County, NC - Will of Thomas Thompson, 1830

  In the name of God Amen, I THOMAS THOMPSON of the County of
  Wayne & State of North Carolina being of sound & perfect mind &
  memory (Blessed be God) do this 4th of June in the year of our
  Lord 1829  Make & publish this my last will & testament in maner
  & form following Viz
  FIRST  I give to my son HARDY THOMPSONS four children one
             dollar each
         I give to my son JOHN THOMPSON one dollar
         I give to my daughter ANNA VINSON one dollar
         I give to my son EVERITT THOMPSON fifty cents
         I give to my grandson DICKSON THOMPSON my colt
  My wish is for my Eceutore here after named at my Decease to
  sell Enough of my property to pay my debts & legacees 
  The balenc of my property I give to my daughter PATIENCE
  THOMPSON to her and her heirs for Ever
  Lastly I do here by nominate constitute and appoint my Two
  grandsons WILLIAM THOMPSON & WAITMON THOMPSON
  my Eceutors to this my last will & testament revoking all &
  Every other will or wills by me made heretofore rattifying this
  & no other to be my last will & testament given under my hand
  & seal this the day and date above written
