Will of John Wiggs probated 1828

In the name of God Amen I John Wiggs, Sr. being very weak in body but of a sound 
mind and memory thanks be to God knowing that it is once appointed for all men 
to die do make this my last will and testament in manner and form (viz)

First my will is that my all my just debts to be paid
Item I give and bequeath to my son John Wiggs on Negro man by the name of Lewis 
       to him and his heirs forever
Item I give and bequeath to my son William Wiggs one Negro man by the name Cesar
       also one Negro woman by the name of Care also one Negro woman by the 
       name of Jane also one other Negro gave by the name of Sivel also I give 
       all my land on the north side of Buck Swamp to him and his heirs forever
Item I give and bequeath to my son John Wiggs all my land on the south side of 
       Buck Swamp to him and his heirs forever
Item I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Wiggs fifty cents to him and his heirs  
       forever
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Susannah Corbett the wife of Jonah Corbett
       fifty cents to them and their heirs forever
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Alsa Starling the wife of John Starling 
       fifty cents to them and their heirs forever

Lastly it is my will that all the balance of my estate to be sold by my Executors 
on a credit as they may think best and the money arising there from to be equally 
divided between my following children namely John Wiggs, Henry Wiggs, Charlotte 
Wiggs, Thomas Wiggs 

Lastly I nominate and appoint William Wiggs & Joshua Hastings my Executors to this 
my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and 
seal this 8th day of November 1820
