I William Rose of the county of Wayne North Carolina, being in good health and of a sound mind & memory, thanks be to God for it, Calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed unto men once to die do make this my last will and testiment, in manner and form, to wit First, my will and desire is that all my just debts be paid Item. I lend the use of all my estate, both personal and real, (except my piece of land called Rawls land and half of the Hollowell land) to my well beloved wife Keziah Rose, during her widowhood, for her to raise and support my children Item. I also give to my well beloved son Ransom Rose my piece of land called Rawls land Item. I also give to my well beloved son William Rose the lower half of my Hollowell piece of land joining the Musgrave land to the old crop fence Item, should my wife Keziah marry again, it is my will that at her marriage or at her death, that all my estate both personal and real be equally divided by my Executor between my children, Mary, Selah, John, James, Jershua, Sarah & Levi Item.
